Is CBD legal?
The 2018 Constitutional Court ruling states that CBD is 100% legal in South Africa. The condition put forward by the legislation states that CBD products containing a THC content of less than 0,003% is legal and available for purchase in a variety of forms, provided the seller acquires the appropriate permits and legal consent to sell these products.
What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that make up the Cannabis plant. There are over one hundred unique cannabinoids, but CBD and THC are the most well-known and studied. Cannabinoids work by imitating compounds our bodies naturally produce, called endocannabinoids, which activate to maintain internal stability and health.
Will CBD ‘get me high’?
CBD is the cannabinoid responsible for the overwhelmingly positive side effects and benefits of Cannabis, whereas THC is responsible for the ‘high’. Our CBD does not contain any THC and therefore is non-psychoactive. Although you may experience many positive side effects (aiding in sleep, pain relief, and easing anxiety) our CBD will not get you high.
What’s the difference between CBD and THC?
Cannabidiol (CBD) and Delta 9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) both operate within the endocannabinoid system (ECS) by attaching to receptors that release neurotransmitters in your brain. They can affect things like pain, mood, sleep, and memory. CBD has the same chemical formula as THC, however, the atoms are arranged differently. This slight variance causes THC to create a psychoactive effect, while CBD does not. This fact means that when you ingest CBD, you will more likely experience a relief of your unwanted discomfort, with little or no noticeable effect on your cognitive abilities.
Is CBD vegan?
Yes, our CBD products are Vegan friendly.
Is CBD pet friendly?
While there is limited published research, general consensus is that CBD is pet-friendly and there are thousands of documented cases of CBD being used to safely treat and help animals. Remember to always consult your veterinary practitioner before giving CBD to your pets.
Can I take CBD while on other medications?
While CBD can deliver a variety of health benefits and is safe to take with many medications, CBD can elicit problematic interactions with certain drugs. CBD can reduce or increase the effects of certain prescribed medications by interacting with receptors throughout the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and by inhibiting the activity of cytochrome P450. Cytochrome P450 is a group of liver enzymes that are responsible for breaking down drugs and toxins that enter the body. By inhibiting the activity of this enzyme, CBD can temporarily deactivate its activity, which can alter how other compounds are metabolized. For your safety and health, always consult your physician if you are considering taking CBD in conjunction with any other prescribed medication.
Why do you combine CBD with olive oil?
Olive oil has an incredible synergy with CBD because it’s terpenes complement the entourage effect and expand its therapeutic potential.
- A lot of people use MCT because it increases bioavailability of CBD (good absorption) but nanoemulsified olive oil is as effective as a carrier and is much more effective in its beneficial subsidiary effects.
- Nanoemulsified CBD-oil allows you to achieve results with much lower doses than normal oil-infusions.
What is ozonated olive oil?

Ozonated Olive Oil holds a variety of health benefits such as the removal of harmful toxins, the reduction of swelling and inflammation and an increase cellular function and cellular memory.
Is CBD oil the same as hemp seed oil?
No. Hemp Seed oil comes from cold pressing the seed of the industrial hemp plant. Hemp seed oil is very healthy and loaded with Omega 3 and 6, however, it does not contain significant amounts of CBD.

Our CBD is produced from the highest quality, organically grown hemp cultivated in the USA.
Is your CBD derived from extract or isolate?
Our CBD is in isolate format to ensure, as per South African laws, that no traces of THC are present. We do, however, add certain terpenes back into the carrier oil due to the additional health benefits and to enhance cell permeability.

What’s a good starting dosage?
The amount of CBD you should take depends on a range of factors, including:
- Your body weight
- The condition you’re addressing
- Your individual body chemistry
- The concentration of CBD in each drop, gummy, pill or capsule.
In other words, there are a lot of variables that go into deciding how much CBD to take. Before trying CBD, be sure to talk to your doctor about an appropriate dosage and any potential risks. If your doctor tells you how much to use, stick to their recommendation. If your doctor doesn’t provide a recommendation, it’s best to start with a smaller dosage and gradually increase it. This could mean starting with 2.5mg a day. After a week, increase this amount by 5 mg. Continue this until you feel that it’s effectively treating your symptoms. In South Africa the maximum legal daily dosage is 20mg so this is an important fact to keep in mind.
Chronic patients can take in hundreds of mg per dose but this would only be under the recommendation and supervision of a doctor.
